2 weeks down, 4 to go.....

I just want to say that I'm sorry for not blogging, I'd love to be on here more but time is limited at the moment due to school holidays etc...I completely agree with cuckoo's recent blog, trying to find a balance is a job in itself  but hey that's what us women do best isn't it!!! and don't we do it well, so big pat on the backs ladies.

I love looking at photo's on others blogs, it helps break up the blog and a picture tells the story so well but my effin (only 6yrs old) camera has died and gone to heaven and my mobile is from the dark ages, in fact it's quite an embarrassment and I try not to get it out that often so unfortunately I am pictureless for a while.

I'm on a diet, CCCCRRRRRAAAAPPPPP, why is it that you constantly feel hungry, even though you read that you shouldn't allow yourself to get hungry by eating little and often ie. carrot sticks and fruit etc, you still have that hunger prang, it's day 2...yep only day 2...and I'm hungry but I try to imagine what those poor babies and young children must feel in Africa and then nearly punch myself for moaning, but so far it's going well and I'm going to start swimming one night a week and maybe try to get out on my bike another night, but I don't want to 'overdo' it at this early stage (any excuse).

I've been invited to one of Darr's friends girlfriends (get it!!) 30th birthday party and I will do anything I have to not to go, the girls boyfriend (Darr's friend) is a complete and utter prat, I could call him much harsher words but I won't lower myself, I actually hate the guy (long long story why) and I know he hates me so it's far easier if we don't go BUT Darr wants to.....gggrrr!!!! trying to persuade him that he should go and I'll stay home with the little ones but he's not swallowing it (pardon the pun), he says it's time to move on bla bla bla, whatever Darr, it wasn't you that fell out with him!!! so any suggestions would be appreciated, I don't want to be seen as the 'awkward wife' and actually it might...might be nice to see some of the other people but I just don't want to see him and well....it's not like he's not going to be there.

Had another trip to Southampton hospital this week, me and the little ones are seen there by our specialists, little lad was born with a hole in his heart that has now sealed over and little lady has a heart murmur on top of me having Cardiomyopathy (Hocom) that they may also have as it's heredity, anyway it was for little lady and yes she has a heart murmur but hopefully it will never effect her, they will just keep an eye on her every two years.  We (my brother and I) are going to have some blood taken for Genetic Testing, basically if they find a matching genetic fault then little lad and little lady can be tested to see if they have the same genetic fault and if so then they will at some point develop Hocom but if they don't have the genetic fault then they won't develop it which of course is what I am hoping (praying) but if they do then I know I can cope with it and have a plan for their care, So I am now waiting to hear from a Geneticist so we can get the ball rolling.

I might not be back again for a few weeks but I'm still here and reading your lovely blogs, roll on September x x x x x

  2. On the one and I say go to the party, look fabulous and enjoy the other guests. Just keep an eye on where he is and move away if he comes near. But then again, put your foot down and don't bloody go. Stay home and crochet!

He is an absolute horrid arse hole to you and I wish so much that he was never in our lives...but with out him you'd have not met Darr and have J and N. And I wouldn't realise how lucky I am with Mr C.

Let's hope Irish Tom was right and the buck stops with you regarding the heart condition.

    Love you Angel

  3. since you asked I'm feeling free to voice my opinion...so here it is:
a while ago (about 5 years) I decided that I was glad I had realised that time is precious well before my old age. I decided there and then that I would never go anywhere, or spend time with anyone, if I didn't want to. Obviously, if someone I love dearly requests me to go somewhere to support them I would. But otherwise I just wouldn't go.

Now, occasionaly I may have to tell a small white lie to get out of something (not to a loved one you understand) but my time is precious!

fingers crossed for you with your hospital results - I hope you get the answers you so want. No idea who irish tom is but I too hope he's right!

    love fee x
(also on a diet - rubbish!)

  4. Hey Bee lovely.... I don't think you should go if you don't fancy it. You'll only fret about it for ages beforehand and (if you're anything like me) you'll build it up into such a huge pain in the arse that you will hate every minute of it. I'd stay home and send Darr on his own if I were you. But that's me and I don't do anything I don't want to do - guess it's a bit selfish but I'd be stressing about it hugely and these things are just not worth it.

Good lord though girl, you worry me when you mention your heart condition. Sounds very scary - hope it sounds worse than it is. Fingers crossed that your little ones haven't inherited the same thing. Lots of love to you xxxx

(by the way, don't know if I commented the other day but I remember seeing your granny squares... get you! You've got the hang of it now and
there's no stopping you! The blanket will be fab when you've finished it - well done! Sorry if I have commented and said all this already, I just read blogs on my phone when I get a five minute break and don't have time to comment and then forget to go back later...)

  5. Hello Bee
Ugh, I hate dilemmas like that. I think I come down on the side of 'life's to short to do things that you don't want to/make you feel bad/cause cringy moments' - and if you would rather have a nice quiet night in with your crochet hook, then that's what you should do. Anyway, I hope it all resolves itself and if you do go, I'm sure you will look fabulous and be cool as a cucumber.
Re the hospital business - I really, really hope you get the results you want. Fingers and everything else crossed for you all
I'm going to Gill tomorrow to see my mum for a few days - I will keep my eyes peeled for you (I'll be the harangued-looking one, trailing small children behind her!)

  6. Gorgeous girl, thanks for your lovely comments on my award blog post. I don't think you did love me at first as I was such a goody two shoes at school and ruined our first time round of knowing each other, but hey, we got a second chance! hurrah for that! I have to say I feel a real affinity with you, not only our friends in common but with both losing our dads... I always know you know how I feel about that subject.

Did you go to the party? Hate dilemmas like that! And did you hear from the geneticist?

  7. Ah bless ya. NEVER do anything you don't want to do. Ever. Unless you truly have to.
Did you go? Need to check I haven't missed a blog post about it.....
The Princess also got diagnosed with a heart mumour when she was two and it was still there a few years ago but we were told it would never be a problem and she is so incredibly active, you'd never know she had one.
They said it would go on its own and I suspect it already has although it's not been checked for ages.
I have no idea who this "friend" is who you and Cuckoo hate so much. Very intrigued. But then I don't know all your friends!!!!!!
Hope you are well sweet. Had blood test results yet?
