Horrid Horrid PMT.....

Ok to those that know me best know I have horrid hormones, I take a Well Women tablet every day (which has Evening Primrose Oil & Star Flower), it does seem to help but it's that 'time of the month' again and I'm feeling the blues.

I literally could cry at any moment, it makes me feel so low and I've got no get up and go, I have no enthusiasm for crochet, cooking or even going out the door (wish I hadn't put myself down for overtime tonight).

Little lady has a nasty tummy bug which meant I couldn't attend mini cuckoo & cuckoo's christening and to top it off yesterday I needed some milk, the shop is only just up the road so bundled everyone in the car, along with a towel & bowl for little lady and on route witnessed a nasty car accident and had to wait 35mins for the emergency services to arrive.....so all in all...CRAP!!!!!! (sorry for the language)

Anyway, I have all the ingredients for my christmas chutney and runner bean chutney so am going to pull my sorry ass off this stool and get on with it.

These two monkeys cheer me up no end

leather....yeh baby!!! & my godson

My gorgeous smelling, soft to touch, just gorgeous, cosy/comfy leather sofa's have arrived!!!! BUT I felt quite sad to say goodbye to our old, tatty blue, extremely uncomfortable 2 x 2 seater sofa's because they were our first sofa's we bought together in our first house before moving where we are now and I am a sentimental old fool...

I'm giving them and all our old furniture to 'Womens Refuge' so they'll be going to a much needed new home.

Big Ted, Spidey & Darlin have pride of place
Twinkle lights are out

Today is my gorgeous godsons birthday party, I can't believe he's going to be six next week, I remember the day so well when he was born, the phone calls to say the baby is one their way, the mad dash over to cuckoo's mums, I was still in my pjs and didn't realise as I was so excited so we had to quickly drive back to my house so I could change and then drive to Bristol, I expected this 'giving birth' business to take ages so left cuckoo's mum to go in with her and I sat with a book comfortably in the waiting area.......the seat wasn't even warm when Mr C walked over to me with the BIGGEST grin I've ever seen and say, in a shaky voice, it's a boy!!! I then told Mr C that I didn't believe him as I'd only just sat down and looked back at my book, after he repeated himself I realised that he wasn't joking....I was obviously in shock at this stage but he said I could go in and see them, when the door opened and I saw cuckoo on the bed and big cuckoo I couldn't believe my eyes, my gorgeous girl had only just bloody gone and done it, the emotion was hard to contain, tears slowly ran down my cheeks and I wiped them away telling myself to 'get a grip', cuckoo looked at me and said, I've got a son...it still chokes me now to say it, there were doctors dashing around but I didn't see any of them, I kissed her softly and remember thinking how in awe I was of her, then after a little time cuckoo asked the nurse to pass big cuckoo to me, he was like a fresh peach, he smelt divine and I couldn't stop smiling,  he was and still is just perfect.  I now can't wait to see my family, even though we actually aren't sisters and they aren't actually my nephews I still refer to them as this, as in our eyes they are.

Home alone.....

It's Tuesday morning, little lad is at school, little lady is at nursery!! what on earth am I going to do now...BLOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back, so so sorry for not being able to blog or leave comments on your wonderful blogs, I'll just have to let you all know that my time is so limited so I'll just get on when I can, I'll try to blog at least once a month and hopefully more once the routines settle down.

The summer holidays were lovely but I was very ready for little lad to start school by the end of it, he went off on his first day with a skip in his step and so far so good, little lady on the other hand had tears at nursery, pulled on my heart strings big time but I know it's for the best as this time next year she'll be starting school....EEK!!!

best friends (most of the time)

little lad doesn't wear his blue crocs to school (honest)

ministry of sound was playing.....

I haven't had any time for crochet either and to be honest I get very easily bored so I'm having a break away from my gorgeous granny squares and started to make some coasters, here's a sneaky peek

by the way, this is my new carpet (which I can't stop sniffing)

I think these are very sweet, darr doesn't like them,
don't use them then Mr Miserable

I recently had an evening with some lovely friends down at Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury, we went Mackerel fishing, well Abby and I watched and drank wine and the boys fished, it was such a wonderful evening, a good gossip and lovely food, we took a bbq and the boys caught 7 Mackerel, Simon placed each one in some foil and then tucked in some garlic and lemon and a huge dollop of butter and then put them on the barbie for 30mins....delicious!!!!

our little set up
one of my dearest friends

gorgeous sunset
I have problems with the effin tabs, sorry!!

I hope you are all well my lovelies and ready for Autumn, my favourite time of the year, I've already picked loads of blackberries, apples and sloes, chutney's and sloe gin here I come!!! yum yum

Take care my lovely blogging friends and I'll catch you all soon, love Bee xxxxxx

Great British Bake Off, Crochet & Power Walking!!! phew...

I've just sat down on the sofa after a Power Walk/jog, I went to the doctors on Monday with a few issues, I always like to take a list with several problems, I build them up, she finds this very funny, I can't just go with one thing, I have to go with several, weird I know but that's me.  Anyway one of the things was that I've been dipping again, no not in the sea, with my hormones, alittle low and she suggested that I try to do some form of exercise but nothing to heavy as I can't, she suggested Power Walking for 30mins, 3 times per week and tonight was my first time, it felt quite good BUT I'm useless at sticking with anything, I always give up or can't be bothered anymore, so fingers crossed I'll stick with this, she said that exercise helps serotonin flow and naturally makes you feel happier so watch this space.

So I'm sat on the sofa as I've said, ready to blog, turn the t.v on and GASP!!! The Great British Bake Off is on...uuhh!!! no adverts on t.v, no one has mentioned it...oh ekk, I love this programme, thank goodness for BBC IPlayer I say, I'll watch it tomorrow night as it had already been on for 45mins, I love Mary Berry, I find her recipes easy and yummy, she's just great and I do like Mel & Sue, I think they annoyed Cuckoo on the last series, well I think it was Cuckoo, I find them really amusing,

Granny Blanket is coming on...

Cuckoo kindly assisted with these photo's, well actually I can't take any credit, she took them all, she does take a good photo, here's some more

I would really love to crochet some coasters for my new (if that ever happens...) living room, has anyone got a any nice patterns or suggestions, I was advised to use cotton yarn rather than my usual acrylic yarn and also to starch them but I'm just not sure as I'm still a beginner, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was well chewy this weekend when I mentioned my crochet to some friends and their husbands at a BBQ, they basically completely took the mick out of me and called me an old granny, I felt so defensive, in fact I could have punched my friends husband who is a complete hob nob....gggrrr, it made me so angry, I really love it that I've found something I really enjoy, I've tried a drawing & painting course with my mum, who I have to say is very talented and I'm certainly NOT good at anything arty, Cuckoo even helped me with my Art coursework, I think she drew a mouse or rabbit....I'm sure she'll remind me.

Anyway, so to have eventually at 35yrs old find something I feel very passionate about, feels slightly relieving really, that I found a hobby I enjoy and can do!!

The last few weeks has all been about keeping calm and carrying on, as they say, it's been a bit stressful trying to keep my little ones happy and on the go, I know I shouldn't say this but I'm looking forward to school term starting, it's hard work as Darr has had hardly any time off so it's all been down to me with the entertainment, although we did have a family day down at Chesil Beach near Abbotsbury on Sunday, we all had a go at fishing and caught 7 mackrel, great fun and the children loved it, if they are happy, we are happy.

It was great to see my gorgeous angel Cuckoo and the boys this week, just what I needed, we had lots of fun and I especially enjoyed cuddles with mini cuckoo, although I did make him cry at one point!!! precious time with my family, just lovely.

Off for more gorgeous crochet now, enjoy the rest of your week girlies, much love Bee x x x x

2 weeks down, 4 to go.....

I just want to say that I'm sorry for not blogging, I'd love to be on here more but time is limited at the moment due to school holidays etc...I completely agree with cuckoo's recent blog, trying to find a balance is a job in itself  but hey that's what us women do best isn't it!!! and don't we do it well, so big pat on the backs ladies.

I love looking at photo's on others blogs, it helps break up the blog and a picture tells the story so well but my effin (only 6yrs old) camera has died and gone to heaven and my mobile is from the dark ages, in fact it's quite an embarrassment and I try not to get it out that often so unfortunately I am pictureless for a while.

I'm on a diet, CCCCRRRRRAAAAPPPPP, why is it that you constantly feel hungry, even though you read that you shouldn't allow yourself to get hungry by eating little and often ie. carrot sticks and fruit etc, you still have that hunger prang, it's day 2...yep only day 2...and I'm hungry but I try to imagine what those poor babies and young children must feel in Africa and then nearly punch myself for moaning, but so far it's going well and I'm going to start swimming one night a week and maybe try to get out on my bike another night, but I don't want to 'overdo' it at this early stage (any excuse).

I've been invited to one of Darr's friends girlfriends (get it!!) 30th birthday party and I will do anything I have to not to go, the girls boyfriend (Darr's friend) is a complete and utter prat, I could call him much harsher words but I won't lower myself, I actually hate the guy (long long story why) and I know he hates me so it's far easier if we don't go BUT Darr wants to.....gggrrr!!!! trying to persuade him that he should go and I'll stay home with the little ones but he's not swallowing it (pardon the pun), he says it's time to move on bla bla bla, whatever Darr, it wasn't you that fell out with him!!! so any suggestions would be appreciated, I don't want to be seen as the 'awkward wife' and actually it might...might be nice to see some of the other people but I just don't want to see him and well....it's not like he's not going to be there.

Had another trip to Southampton hospital this week, me and the little ones are seen there by our specialists, little lad was born with a hole in his heart that has now sealed over and little lady has a heart murmur on top of me having Cardiomyopathy (Hocom) that they may also have as it's heredity, anyway it was for little lady and yes she has a heart murmur but hopefully it will never effect her, they will just keep an eye on her every two years.  We (my brother and I) are going to have some blood taken for Genetic Testing, basically if they find a matching genetic fault then little lad and little lady can be tested to see if they have the same genetic fault and if so then they will at some point develop Hocom but if they don't have the genetic fault then they won't develop it which of course is what I am hoping (praying) but if they do then I know I can cope with it and have a plan for their care, So I am now waiting to hear from a Geneticist so we can get the ball rolling.

I might not be back again for a few weeks but I'm still here and reading your lovely blogs, roll on September x x x x x

Hook...and go

I've really missed blog over the last week, I've got loads to read and here's a wee one from me.

My Granny Blanket is coming along, so so many more square to do but this is how it looks so far

4wks work....
When I look at them above I keep thinking, crickey it's going to take a LONG time but it'll be worth it and actually that feels quite a nice feeling, my first simple project that I now feel comfortable doing may be finished late autumn, lovely.

one of my favorite squares

my little stack
I've been thinking for a while now about leaving Waitrose, my little cleaning jobs are going well and I actually enjoy doing it (never ever thought I'd say that), so I approached my line manager and explained how I felt and she suggested moving department and alter my hours, so that's what I've done, as of the end of Aug I'll only be working one evening and my other hours will be in the day, I feel quite excited about this new move so fingers crossed it'll all work out.

I felt I needed to stay really as although I wasn't earning huge amounts from Waitrose there are the pros of staff discounts etc plus I am desperately saving for a new living room.  We've already decorated and our new sofa's arrive in Sept, I've chosen some gorgeous solid oak furniture but I need to save my pennies but hope to be able to have it all done before the end of October, one major pain a few weeks ago put a spanner in the works.  Darr took the radiator off the wall so we could decorate and when he put it back on he didn't turn the top screw tight enough and flooded the carpet with rusty water....GREAT!! and it's not the first time he's done this but oh well....I've never ever claimed on my house insurance but decided to give them a call and to cut a long story short I also now have a new carpet arriving.

Had a great day out today with the children and my neighbour and her little girl, we did a bit of shopping, I know...mad with 3 children but they were fairly well behaved and then we went to a new park which they absolutely loved, however little lad ended up having a sand fight with another boy, lots of tears and bla bla bla, what is it with boys, little lady seems like a saint compared to her brother these days, he's got an answer for everything, but but but, no not doing that, your not my friend anymore ARGHHHHHH, honestly once he is in bed I just find I collapse on the sofa, I'm hoping it's because he really really needs to start school and I'm sure it's just another one of the phases, do those phases ever pass? if he's anything like his dad..NO!!!

I'm off to catch up on other blogs now, be back soon luv Bee x x

Cracking crochet...

I'm sort of going off my crocheting of Granny Squares, I got on with it tonight but still struggle with the effin first round GRRRRRRRRRRR, making me all cross and annoyed, so I've put the square to one side and am trying something else for a little break, snow flakes, that way I get plenty of time before..I can't say the word yet but you know what I mean!!! the 'C' word

They are very pretty and I quite like trying something different, I'll be back to the squares as soon as, I would like my blanket finished before the the end of Autumn (ha...yeh right...good luck with that Bee)

What a week so far, nursery is packing in a leaving concert, leaving picnic, leaving sports day, leaving top-table sale, phew!!! I'll have to do this all again next year when little lady leaves nursery for big school, they seem to be cramming so much in, poor little lad is exhausted and so are we.

It's little lads 5th birthday at the beginning of Sept and he really REALLY wants a party, so...I've handed out 8 invites today and the faces on the mum's whose child didn't get an invite....oh bugger off, for goodness sake I can't invite all 20 little ones, I felt like I had to explain myself, is this usual?? once he starts school will it just get worse??  I'm doing a little tea party at my house and there really isn't room for any more, it always seems to rain on his birthday so my idea about a picnic was brushed to one side, if I did invite all 20 and then it did rain then my house would end up in turmoil, am I being a bit unfair?

Off to bed now and I might just take my square with me (no not Darr, he is asleep on the sofa....and snoring!!)

Mega Busy Bee

What a bloody week, I actually feel exhausted, can't even pick up my crochet hooks, no concentration left in me, I worked two evenings at Waitrose, two whole days cleaning and two other ironing jobs and in between that all my own housework/ironing/cooking/child care etc etc....god I do go on but it's just been a busy week and it pisses me off that I don't get the time to blog or do my crochet.

I did have time to make some cupcakes and krispie cakes with little lady on tues, not many left now

Littly lady joined her big brother this week for a settling in session at nursery, she wanted to wear her nursery jumper, they looked so sweet together, big brother held her hand and showed her around, adorable

Little lad actually looks a bit funny in this photo, bad hair day!!

I clean for a lovely lady who sadly has breast cancer, I like to bake her a cake or do something nice for her so I made today my sun-dried tomato and mozzarella tear & share bread, the ingredients makes two batches so Darr and I had one with our dinner tonight, it is delicious, especially with a glass of red (hate those wine glasses)

So the second batch I took up to my lovely lady, it put a smile on her face

Darr is hooked on Le Tour De France at the mo, I take my hat off to those boys, I do try to get out on my bike but it's bloody hard work, I try to do a route that includes a pub or two...

Just watching Miranda, it's bloody hilarious!!!!

How do I add labels to my blogs, help please x x

Blog Award...

Thank you so much Fee for giving me this award, I've only been on here a few months and already feel like I've made new friends and that makes me feel so happy, so here goes -

10 Facts about Bee

1.  I can wiggle my eyes, not just go cross eyed, they literally wiggle, I have no idea how I can do it but I can and it really freaks people out when I show them, love it.

2.  My first car was a Fiat Panda 750cc, multi-coloured inside and powder blue on the outside, it had no radio so I had a tape player (I know, don't laugh) perched on the passenger seat, 3 days after passing my test, happily driving along my fav song came on, think it was Belinda Carlisle, anyway, I looked over to turn the volume up and then looked up in horror as the hedge was getting far too close and I literally span the wheel round so ended up then far too close to the hedge on the otherside of the road then span back again, took off (yes at this point I am in the air), went straight through a farmers hedge and into his field with very high crops, I think I stopped about 500yds in, took a deep....deep breathe and carried on driving, trying to find the gate, in my rear view mirror I could see lots of faces peering over the hedge, I didn't stop, I kept going, found the gate, opened it quickly and drove the back lanes home, not a scratch on the car but the field looked like a crop circle gone wrong when I went back the next day!!! oops

3.  I have a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy,  a very long story but basically it's a condition my brother and I have, it is hereditary from my beloved Daddy, he didn't know he had it and passed it onto us, at present I'm doing ok, I see my specialist every 2yrs in S'hampton, I won't bore you with the details but it's something I live with and rarely think about, it could get worse, so what....so do my spots!!! hey ho

4.  My daddy as I mentioned above passed away 7yrs ago, 6mths before I go married, I was devastated and only just last year I crumbled and had counselling, he was an amazing daddy, would always smile and make me laugh every day, he had a wicked sense of humour and was silly, not adult like at all, he was very very kind and would not say a bad word about anyone,  I miss him terribly.

5.  I have a very special person in my life, who I couldn't live without, she's my sister friend and we're as close as close can be, I feel very lucky to have someone so special like that as I know many don't, we have thousands and thousands of memories which we always go over, we once lived together with another girl, who quite frankly was a sandwich short of a picnic and we decided to hide from her in the cupboard under the stairs, I was fully dressed while my sister friend had only her top clothing and a pair of tights on, if anyone had opened that door....imagine!!! we were 24yrs old at the time...eek

6.  I once had a bonk on a Berry's coach to London and the bus was full.....I have no idea to this day how we managed to get away with it or even why I did it, this person I have to say was a bit pervy and I was naively persuaded, in fact when I think about it, it horrifies me, what if children were on the bus!!! what you do in your teens hey

7.  I once drank 20 shots of vodka in one go, I vaguely remember being found some hours later in someone's hedge, how I got there who knows and I also only had one shoe, the other was never found by Prince Charming...boo hoo

8.  I'm a Royalist, I love absolutely anything to do with the Royals, I've read the books, watched the films, documentaries, love them, GOD SAVE THE QUEEN .  And come on everyone, Harry is not the son of Charles, he is the son of James Hewitt..who are they kidding

9.  I once was very grown up (definitely not grown up now) and bought a bottle of wine, along with my other house mates, from a company called 'Fine Wines', we had to buy 12 bottles and the price was etc etc..can't remember all the details but I've never drank the bottle I chose, it holds too many fond memories and it's still on my wine rack today, Errazuriz Cabernet Sauvignon, 1995, Chilli.  It will be with me forever, plus it would probably taste shite now

10.  As some of you may know, after having children things are never quite the same in...the south region and I'm lucky enough to now have a Designer Vagina...oow that sounds horrid, I had to have a minor operation after little lady was born as things were not 'quite right' and now it's back to normal, well as normal as can be!!

taa daa - 10 facts about me, little Bee - I hope to god you are now not thinking I'm a complete nutter and stop following me.....pretty please xxx

Rain, rain and more rain

As you know, we went on a family camping holiday last week to South Devon and it rained practically every day, we had some sunshine on the Tuesday but had torrential rain on Wednesday, all day, the sun did come out on Thursday but not for long so Friday we caved in and came home, wasn't the best trip we've had and personally I doubt the tent will be out again this year.....(I hope!!!) I'm thinking a cottage next year would be nice...although I have to say the children still loved it, the rain doesn't seem to bother them.

Anyway, on a brighter note my Granny Squares are coming along nicely, I do struggling with the first round, just after I do the first CH3 I need to do 2TR's in the hole I've made with the join and once I've completed the round I'm left with a bit of bump of yarn, think Cuckoo might need a wee look for me as I'm not doing something right but it's still ok for now.

Today I had to let a friend down and I feel terribly guilty, basically for her birthday her husband bought her two tickets to see Dolly Parton in concert and she offered one of the tickets to me, I was over the moon as I love Dolly Parton BUT the ticket would cost me £100!!! my husband and I are just getting back on our feet with our finances and I'm actually managing to save money which I am putting towards refurnishing my living room and I just can't justify paying out £100 for a concert ticket but to be really honest, I would love that £100 to go towards my new curtains, letting her down wasn't easy and she was very upset, I feel dreadful about it and hope she can forgive me.

Today we went shopping for little lads first school uniform, he looked so sweet trying on different sizes of grey trousers and suitable black daps, really pulled on my heart strings, he's growing up too fast.

Time for a cuppa and more crochet, once I've done a bundle of squares I'll post a pic

Hey Mr Postman look and see....

Knock knock on the front door at 7am this morning, I leaped out of bed in huge excitement, very nearly fell down the stairs, didn't have a care in the world that I looked like I'd been dragged through a hedge backwards and had breathe that would burn if you came too close!!! Mr Postman at the door, a tiny parcel for me, can't get the packaging off quick enough......CROCHET HOOKS!!! colourful, gorgeous aluminium, all sizes crochet hooks!! yippee.......

So now I'm ready...

I grabbed a couple of hooks that were my favourite colours and put them in my bun..BUN!!!! you naughty girls..but I couldn't quite take the photo myself as you'll see, so little lad came to the rescue

Cute, love that fact that the photo makes my hair look shinny.

I have a confession, I am a nail bitter..eek!! it's not nice, it's a horrid horrid habit, they do grow and look nice but then one breaks and before I know it the whole lot are gone again but six weeks on they look like this.

The close up of both my hands didn't really show off all my nails but they all look like this which is amazing as they'd usually be gone by now.

So I've got tons of packing to do as we're away camping tomorrow for a week, we love camping, it's so much fun and more importantly the children absolutely love it and they are now getting very excited.

While I am away a friend of mine is decorating my living room, she qualified as a Painter and Decorator earlier this year, so when I get back my living room will look lovely!!! how lush is that, no rubbing down, no splatters of paint in my hair, no trying to keep the children out of the living room for a week, fab.

So ta ta for now and I'll blog when I get back and hopefully be able to show you some Granny Squares.

Luv Bee xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Little lad just took this pic of himself, sweet

In between jobs....

Hey gorgeous gals, I'm just doin a quick blog in between my two jobs today.

The weather is just gorgeous out, it really puts a spring in my step and I say hello to everyone or good morning with a smile but it's surprising how many people don't even look up and acknowledge your comment or even just a smile back, miserable sods, oh well I've still got a spring in my step so big 'raspberry' to you.

Thanks Fee for my award, I have no idea what I have to do, so I literally just list 10 things about me?? this may take some time as I'm quite boring!!

Anyway, crochet is coming on 'ok' I've managed to do a few flowers, I am meeting up with Cuckoo, big cuckoo and mini cuckoo tomorrow, we are going to attempt a wool shop with 3 children (little lady coming with me), I am away next week and want to start my Granny Blanket.

Oh crap, I can't upload my picture, anyway it was of my finished Granny Square, 2 flowers and the start of another Granny Square where I've changed the yarn, it's not great but I'm definitely feeling more confident.

Oh, it's now uploaded it, sorry that the photo is a bit pants, I'm not a great photo taker but you get the idea!!

My first ever Granny Square...

This is a huge achievement for me, I usually give up on anything like this, I get frustrated that everyone else can do it and seem to grasp it much quicker that I can, I'm always at the back of the queue, anyway, so I am chuffed to bits with this, in fact I could cry....how ridiculous is that!!! it would be tears of joy of course.

So this is a short blog too as I can't wait to get back to my Granny Square, I've fallen in love.

Luv Bee x x

Life is so precious

Just doing a quick blog, this week (infact over a 48hr period), I know of two people that have been killed in car accidents, one was a man who lived in the town where I grew up, he was approx 45yrs old and was a local postman, he had two young children.

The other, a very popular young lady who had 3 young girls, I went to school with her husband, head on car accident with a milk tanker, just awful.

It's just shaken me up a bit and made me want to slap myself for moaning about how much cleaning I need to do etc etc...

Meditation time.......

I started this blog on Sunday and have been so damn busy and no 'me' time that I haven't had chance to finish it til now, on Saturday night I was practising my crochet (and had a glass of red too)while Darr cooked dinner!!! I know, don't all gasp at once, he cooked Red Thai Curry and it was delicious, I then cosyed up on the sofa with a nice cuppa while watching Camelot, I love anything like that especially now The Tudors has finished.  Darr had a lovely lie in on Sunday but two little people wanted to give their home-made cards to daddy so he was bounced on around 8.45am (which wasn't a bad lie in).  We then headed off to the new John Lewis in Poole as I wanted to try and find some curtains for our living room, I fell in love with all of them and eventually chose a gorgeous flowery pair, thankfully as I'm a J.L partner I get a 25% discount.

In the evening we ate scrummy roast beef after which I practised more crochet, it's looking much neater, just need to try my first project, my mum is over on friday night so I am hoping to attempt something with her help.

I've had a couple of moments this week where I have felt overwhelmed by the stupidest of things, like - to much house work, ironing, gardening, work, children drop off's and collect etc etc (you get my drift) and while I was cooking dinner I was listening to Radio 2, as I always do, and they had this guy on talking about meditation, well I looked up his website (www.getsomeheadspace.com) i'm trying out his programme and only a few days in I already feel like I can relax and breathe through those moments when I feel I'm loosing control, even if it's just physiological I don't care, whatever works I say.

I need to keep this short as I'm desperate to keep practising my crochet. Below are a few photo's of my family for you to see.

This is Darr taking a photo of himself, he was on route to join us in Devon, 95miles...mad man!!!

Little ones enjoying an ice-lolly at Paignton Zoo

Me and little ones enjoying a walk around Stour Head, Wiltshire.

Enjoying the Steam Train in Devon

Sorry if the photo's are a bit blurred and I also haven't worked out how to add a caption under the photos, it'll do for now.  Right, off to crochet I go...

Cuckoo's birthday pressie & my crochet....
I ordered cuckoo's pressie ages and ages ago from her Wish List on Waterstones and it arrived this week, just in time for her arrival with mini cuckoo today, Cute & Easy Crochet (above).

I spent yesterday evening with my mum, who is amazing at crochet/sewing/knitting/crafty stuff etc, I last tried crochet in the autumn at the seaside house in Salcombe with cockoo and just haven't had the patience or time since so I really surprised myself at how well I remembered and how much neater it was compared to my last attempt, it's just rows of dc and tc so i get the hang of it and when I'm confident enough I'll have a go at making something simple (I would be grateful for any suggestions).  I feel myself getting completely absorbed when I'm doing crocheting, very relaxing and completely switch off, this is an exciting project and my mum made me a wonderful bag as a Christmas gift to store all my crochet work/wool/hooks etc.  One thing I find really frustrating about my little house is there is no space to keep my sewing machine and crafty bits 'n' bobs, at the moments it's kept in my wardrobe and because it's just stored away I never really use it,so in my living room (behind my sofas) is a play area for the children, well somewhere I store their toys and I think it's about time I had some room back, so I'm going to move all their toys into their rooms and purchase a table with drawers in and a pretty chair, nothing expensive, I might have a look on the Ikea website, that way I know I'll use my sewing machine more, I feel quite excited about doing that too.

Right, better get the dinner on as it's work tonight, I work two evenings a week at Waitrose, as well as housekeeping approx 8hrs a week and some ironing here and there....it all helps.

Going a bit crackers......

Who on earth decided we needed hormones...ok ok, I get the baby making bit but who decided they can sometimes make you feel like complete and utter shite, I mean sometimes I go crazy in the head, completely barking mad and my mind does the strangest of things!!! I also have to confess..I talk to myself all the time and (oh god) out loud, it's obviously a family thing as my dad did it too, I'd often catch him talking away to himself, proper full on arguments and if he knew I'd seen him he'd get all embarrassed and scuttle away.  It needs to stop I think...but how?? I never fall out with myself and rarely answer back, it's actually quite nice to be right all the time but then there's the whole, she's going a bit mad!!!

This is where I've decided it's time I found myself some hobbies, to do something more constructive with my time (other than talking to myself), and also find out who 'Bee' really is, not the girl who always follows the leader, does as they do, wear what they wear, say what they say.  It's always, I wish I had that, I wish I could be like that rather than being happy with little old me, so a plan is what I need, oh and of course a list, I LOVE LISTS!!!

First thing first, get my head around this bloody crocheting, looks more like spaghetti junction so my wonderful mum is coming to help, she has the patience of a saint thank goodness, a hobby I want stick to but I keep giving up, but I am struggling on, it's the whole time thing so gonna give it another bash. I always give up at the first hurdle so this might be the first thing I follow through with...exciting!! and also, getting out on my bike and getting some exercise, might help with the (ssshhh...moods) and work on these extra loafs at the bottom of my back either side, just above my hips, I don't want them there anymore....yuk!!!!

So if you read this, little encouragement would go a long way.

New to this lark

I've just started, so bare with me....

I've heard lots about this 'blogging lark' and thought I'd give it a whiz, love FB but joined Twitter and I just don't get it so here I am trying this.

It's been a bit of a mad day, felt really sad this morning so as yesterday we couldn't get outside (rain rain and more rain...) I've just taken the children out on their bikes up to Orchard Park, it's a nice walk but along a main road for a bit which frightens me to death but we then turn off into a housing estate and I can breathe again, Orchard Park has lots of plants, flowers, grow your own etc...it has a lovely cafe (didn't do that today) but they also have a lovely shop with wonderful delights, I always make sure I don't take my purse unless we're going to the cafe, must be careful with the notes these days.

It's gonna be a short blog to start as my two little ones are playing around me and I always feel very guilty if I'm not entertaining them, so off I go for now.
